CoGDEM ANTI-COMPETITIVE ACTIVITIES POLICY STATEMENT

The United Kingdom Competition Act 1998 prohibits any anti-competitive agreements and rules relating to abusive conduct by dominant businesses. In addition, the Enterprise Act 2002 makes it a criminal offence for any individual dishonestly to enter into an agreement relating to price-fixing, market sharing, bid-rigging or supporting a production-limiting cartel.

The CoGDEM Steering Group is committed to complying with all aspects of competition law and insists that all CoGDEM members comply with these rules whenever attending CoGDEM meetings, acting as a CoGDEM representative or discussing any CoGDEM activities. Any breaches or apparent breaches of competitive law must be reported immediately to a member of the CoGDEM Steering Group.
